❤️ Emotional – Recognise your worth and develop positive emotions. Meditate and reduce the mind chatter.

💚 Environmental – Surround yourself with positive energies and fresh air as much as possible.

🧡 Financial – Take advice if you need to secure your finances and find stability.

🤍 Intellectual – Keep your mind stimulated by continual learning and challenges like puzzles.

🤎 Occupational – Take steps to find work that you enjoy and brings fulfilment. Remind yourself of your childhood dreams and aspirations.

💙 Physical – Respect your body by feeding it healthy foods and engage in regular exercise. A healthy body can maintain a healthy mind, build your energy levels and aid sleep.

💛 Social – Find your tribe to feel supported and connected, nothing beats meeting people in person, but with the power of the internet, social connections can be made online too.

💜 Spiritual – Have positive meaning in every action through a connection with yourself and/or a higher energy and this will give you strength and determination in life.

Once you identify which area or areas you think you might need to pay attention to, why not try journaling about it to see if you can determine remedies or targets to help build up this area. Ask yourself what your ideals are and see how your life matches up. How can you take steps to reach your ideal? How can you feel more gratitude to your life right now?

It isn’t about constantly striving for a perfect life, it’s about finding stability and joy in our present circumstances, remembering our dreams and finding pleasure in the path to fulfilling those dreams.

When we find a balance in these eight keys of wellbeing, we will feel that we have a well rounded life, will feel secure, supported and more able to tackle any of life’s challenges we may encounter.

Connectivity

Keeping up positive relationships boosts our mood!  Think about the people you see now and how they make you feel. There’s always someone who drains your energy and puts a downer on everything, but hopefully there are many that put a smile on your face and make you feel inspired, motivated and laugh out loud. When we are with people, we bounce of each other’s energy so surrounding ourselves with people that make us feel good makes sense. And when we do this, we are more equipped to manage the heart to hearts and difficulties that come up in peoples’ lives and can help each other overcome them.

Here a few ways to maintain positive connectivity:

💌 Write a letter:  Not something we think to do anymore, but imagine how lovely it would be to receive one, especially with those we don’t see often. When sending Christmas or birthday cards, why not take the time to write a note to some old friends and catch up with each other.

❤️ Nurture existing relationships: Spending one to one time with close friends and family can deepen bonds, but more often that not, we find ourselves busy with life and dedicated time together falls to the bottom of the to do pile. However, booking a spa day with your bestie could be just what you need to de-stress and put the world to rights. Remember to stay in touch using social media, texts and phone calls – anything to keep in contact and strengthen your connection.

👪 Family time: If you find yourself stuck in the house with your immediate family members or housemates you may find you all separate off with your own daily routines. Schedule in some quality family time like a movie night, a walk in the park or even a board game to nurture your family connections and keep up to date with their lives.
